Planning & Zoning Commission

Following the appointment and reappointment of its membership by City Council, the Planning and Zoning Commission has its Mandatory Annual Meeting 4th Monday in June to elect its new Chair and Secretary. Subsequent meetings are called as needed. Meeting notices are posted on the TLV website and in front of City Hall 72 hours in advance as required by the Texas Open Meetings Act.

The Planning and Zoning Commission reviews subdivision plats, lot replats, and also makes recommendations to City Council on changes to the City zoning ordinance. Public Hearings are required for proposed changes to the City zoning ordinance. Notices of  Public Hearings are posted in “The Citizen” a minimum of 15 days in advance of the Public Hearing.
